FAQ's for our Autism-Friendly Events

 

How do I request tickets for upcoming events?

Tickets for all of our events are to be requested directly through The A World UK website.

What is the eligibility criteria to request tickets?

We support the autistic community across England and Wales. To be eligible, you MUST currently reside in England or Wales, and at least one member of your group MUST have either an autism diagnosis or be on the autism pathway.

​What documents do I need to request tickets?

You must upload one document that clearly confirms an autism diagnosis or that the individual is on the autism diagnostic pathway.
It can be one of the following:

  • Autism diagnosis letter (NHS or private)

  • Referral letter confirming the recipient is on the autism pathway (must be dated within the past 2 years)

  • Appointment letter confirming autism diagnosis

  • Doctor’s letter confirming autism diagnosis

  • EHCP stating autism diagnosis

 

What documents are not accepted as proof?
We cannot accept:

  • DWP letters

  • NHS app screenshots

  • Blue Badges

  • Cinema / Access cards

  • Generic letters or images that do not identify the individual (for example, letters without a name)

Important: The document must clearly relate to the individual attending the event. This means it should include identifying details such as a name (and usually a date or reference).Documents that do not identify the individual may be declined.

If you upload the incorrect documentation, you may not receive a response from our bookings team. 

What is the cost of attending an event? Are there any discounts available?

Ticket prices vary with each event, and year due to the increase in the cost of living. We do not offer discounts as all tickets to The A World UK events have been heavily subsidised by The A World UK.

Is there a limit on the number of tickets I can request?

Yes there is a limit, we also ask that you only request tickets for your immediately family to ensure that we can support as many autistic individuals and families as possible. 

Can we request tickets for siblings as well?

Yes. We ask that you only request tickets for immediate family i.e. parents/carers and siblings. To ensure more families can benefit from the event. 

Do I need to buy a ticket for my baby who is less than 1 year old?

Yes. Every person that will be attending the event requires to purchase a ticket regardless of age.

Do carers need to buy a ticket?

Yes. Every person that will be attending the event requires to purchase a ticket.

Can I get a refund for or transfer my event ticket if I can't attend?

Unfortunately, tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable. If you are unable to attend but would like to gift your tickets to another family, please get in touch with our bookings team who will be able to allocate your tickets to another family on our waiting list.

Do you provide transport?
No, attendees must arrange their own transport to and from the event.
