What is the difference between Eureka! Science & Discovery and Eureka! The National Children's Museum?

Eureka! Science & Discovery, located in Wirral, caters to older children, emphasizing learning about science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics (STEAM) through interactive and hands-on exhibits. In contrast, Eureka! The National Children's Museum, located in Halifax, Yorkshire, focuses on engaging younger children through play and exploration across various themed areas.

Before Requesting Tickets

Who is eligible to request tickets?
Tickets are available to families living in the North of England or the Midlands. At least one member of your group must have an autism diagnosis or be on the autism pathway.

Does the person with the autism diagnosis need to attend?
Yes, the person whose diagnosis you provide must attend the event with your group.

​

What documents do I need to request tickets?
You must upload one of the following:

  • Autism diagnosis letter (NHS or private)

  • Referral letter confirming the recipient is on the autism pathway

  • Appointment letter confirming autism diagnosis

  • Doctor’s letter confirming autism diagnosis

  • EHCP stating autism diagnosis

What documents are not accepted as proof?
We cannot accept:

  • DWP letters

  • NHS app screenshots

  • Blue Badges

  • Cinema/Access cards

Are tickets first-come, first-serve?
Yes, provided you meet the eligibility criteria and upload the correct proof.

Can I request tickets using multiple children’s evidence?
No. We ask you to request tickets for immediate family members (parents/carers and siblings) using evidence for one individual only. This helps us support more families.

Can siblings attend the event?
Yes, you can request tickets for siblings, but only for your immediate family.

​

Do I need a ticket for my baby under 1 year old?
Yes, all attendees require a ticket, regardless of age.

Do carers need a ticket?
Yes, everyone attending the event needs a ticket.

​

Can we use our Max card or annual pass?

As this is a private event you will not be able to use a Max card or annual pass, everyone wanting to attend this event must purchase a ticket via The A World UK.

Will I receive an annual pass?

As this is a private event you will not receive an annual pass to Eureka!

Information Regarding Our Event

We have never been to your event before do we all stay together?

No, we exclusively hire the whole venue for our community to enjoy, you will be able to enjoy the day as you would if you were to visit on a standard day.

​Why can we not spend all day at Eureka! ?

As Eureka! is an indoor venue we have made the decision to split this event into 2 sessions, a morning and afternoon session. This will allow us to keep numbers to a minimum ensuring that guests attending will be able to experience Eureka! in an autism friendly environment.

Do we have to arrive at our allocated time?

Yes, for this event we suggest arriving at your allocated session time. Unfortunately, If you do arrive later than scheduled, you will still need to leave at the allocated time, you will not be allowed to stay inside the venue after your allocated time.

Is there any food outlets available?

Eureka! has a café which will be open with a limited menu of sandwiches, salads and fries. Or alternatively you can bring your own packed lunch which you can eat within one of their lunch areas. To view their menu please visit the their website ESD-Discovery-Cafe-October-24.pdf

Is Eureka! accessible?

Yes, Eureka! is both wheelchair and pram friendly with, with lifts available. They also have accessible changing facilities/ toilets and a chill out room. For more information please visit Accessibility - Eureka! Science + Discovery

I haven’t received a confirmation email after booking—what should I do?
After payment, our bookings team will send a confirmation email. Closer to the event, you’ll receive an email with all the details. Check your junk/spam folder if you haven’t received anything.

Can I bring my dog?
Only registered assistance dogs are allowed on-site.

​

Will there be a photographer at the event?
Yes, a photographer will be present. Photos will be free and available on our Facebook page about a week after the event. If you prefer not to be photographed, please inform Harley.

​

Do you provide transport?
No, attendees must arrange their own transport to and from the event.

​

Can I get a refund or transfer my tickets?
Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable. If you can’t attend, contact our bookings team to gift your tickets to another family on our waiting list.
